Joseph Joubert

Horizon House is part of Liberty Hill Academy, a Special Day School on CYDC's campus. Horizon House provides education and therapeutic services to children who are not able to succeed in a traditional classroom setting. The Academy is the product of a landmark partnership between the Charleston County School District and Carolina Youth Development Center. This unique collaboration between a school district and a community-based organization will improve educational opportunities and outcomes for our most vulnerable and fragile children. Addressing the educational needs of children in residential care, foster care, and those with special needs who live in the community, is a continued topic of concern for both the local and national education communities.
