Horizon House Clinical Day School is part of Liberty Hill Academy, a Special Day School on CYDC’s campus. Horizon House provides education and therapeutic services to children who are not able to succeed in a traditional classroom setting. 
The Academy is the product of a 30-year partnership between the Charleston County School District, the Medical University of South Carolina and Carolina Youth Development Center. This unique collaboration will improve educational opportunities and outcomes for our community’s most challenged children and families. Addressing the educational needs of children in residential care, foster care, and those with special needs who live in the community, is a continued topic of concern for both the local and national education communities.
