Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Carolina Youth Development Center (CYDC). On our North Charleston campus, we have two group homes, an emergency shelter, a runaway and homeless youth shelter, the Center for Life and the Linda and Tony Bakker Career Center. Additionally, we have volunteer needs at our emergency shelter in Berkeley County, Callen-Lacey Center for Children, and Big Brothers Big Sister of CYDC, which provides mentoring relationships for children in the tri-county area. Our agency serves abused, neglected, abandoned, at-risk, and severely emotional disabled children ranging in age from infancy – 21 years old. Volunteer opportunities at CYDC are diverse, challenging and uniquely rewarding.
Here’s a list of current volunteer opportunities on our North Charleston campus.
